Several of our models offer a switchable output stage: solid-state transistor for speed and control, or a tube stage for warmth and body — swappable without opening the case, and the tube stage itself accepts different valve types (E88CC, 6DJ8, 6922) for listeners who like to fine-tune their sound rather than accept one fixed voicing.
Built to evolve, not to be replaced
Many of our products are designed around plug-in modules — a streaming board, a separate power supply — that can be added after purchase rather than forcing an owner to trade in the whole unit as formats and standards move on. A Métronome or Kalista product is meant to stay in your system for a decade or more.
Made, not assembled, in Montans
Chassis machined from solid aluminum billets, boards populated and tested by hand, every finished unit listened to before it ships — our workshop near Toulouse is small enough that nothing about a Métronome or Kalista product is anonymous.
