A company born from a group of enthusiastic people
Métronome was founded in 1987, near Toulouse, by a group of high fidelity enthusiasts. The company turned to digital sources early on, as the compact disc was settling into listening systems.
The transports and players that followed carried the brand onto the international audiophile scene. One requirement runs through all of them: thousands of hours of listening, and units assembled by hand.
The workshops are in Montans, in the Tarn, at the heart of the Gaillac vineyards. The three ranges are designed there, and every unit assembled, wired, then tested under real listening conditions before any shipment.
